Former NOAA ship OSS-2 "Surveyor", steam turbine powered survey vessel, built in 1960 by National Steel &
Shipbuilding, San Diego, CA, USA. All welded steel, ice strengthened hull with a helicopter landing pad. Surveyor has
accommodations for 127 officers & crew including Captains stateroom w/day room & pantry, (4) officers staterooms,
(42) single to 4-person staterooms, all furnished, plus ward room & messes, complete galley & scullery. Surveyor is
also equipped with a sick bay, dental clinic, photo lab, a carpenter shop and a complete machine shop. All asbestos
has been removed or encapsulated and all PCB's have been removed.
